My story..

It all began at age 11 when I discovered my passion for photography. Only knowing I needed to take pictures, I wandered through local parks, (stalker alert!) capturing fleeting moments of people around me, and a lot of clouds! Each click of my camera was a way to freeze time, preserve memories, and tell stories without words. We moved a lot and I was painfully shy. That camera brought me…peace.

After graduating high school, I decided to pursue photography and enrolled at Dutchess Community College to learn the technical skills necessary to enhance my craft. My journey was not without challenges. Even though I worked full-time as a medical assistant while attending school, I remained undeterred, driven by my love for capturing life’s beauty, and graduated 4 years later.

Over the years, I had 3 children. Through these experiences, I learned the importance and the power of visual storytelling. As I honed my skills, I took on various assignments ranging from portraits to events and eventually weddings in 2000. Each project added depth to my portfolio, allowing me to express my creative vision and soon my signature style emerged: a blend of candid moments and vibrant colors that reflect the joy found in everyday life!

Looking back, I realize that my story was interwoven with the stories of those I’ve photographed. Each image I captured represented not only my journey but also the collective experiences of love, growth, and connection that bind us all. Through my lens, I continue to tell stories, one photograph at a time, forever committed to preserving the beauty of life.

“Carol made our engagement shoot wonderful. She took the vision we had for our pictures and she made it happen. She went above and beyond even standing on awkward rocks and hills to get the perfect angle. We are beyond happy with the end results! Not only is Carol an amazing photographer but she is a beautiful person inside and out and it is truly our pleasure whenever we get to work with her. She takes so much care and pride in her work. We can’t wait to see the beautiful moments she will capture for us at our wedding.”

“Carol photographed our engagement, wedding and maternity shoots and did such an amazing job. I never like taking full body pictures but she made me feel so comfortable and made it so much fun. She was great with my dog too who I wanted to bring and interacted with her so well. She had so many great ideas.”
